MemorySafe Hosted
Terms of use
MemorySafe Hosted · Last updated: 3 November 2026
1. The service and who may use it
MemorySafe Hosted keeps one memory for the AI assistants you connect to it, at memory.memorysafe.ca. It is provided by MemorySafe Labs Inc., Longueuil, Québec ("we").
By creating an account you accept these terms and our privacy policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
- The service is a beta: free while we keep improving it, and still changing.
- You must be at least 16.
- One account is for one person. Do not share your password.
2. Your account and your memories
Your memories are yours. You keep all rights to what you or your assistants save. You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your memories, protect them, back them up, and send them to the apps you connect. That permission ends when you erase them or delete your account (backups expire within 30 days).
You can download your memories, and everything we hold about you, at any time from your account.
You are responsible for what you choose to save, and for keeping your password safe. Tell us at contact@memorysafe.ca if you think someone else has used your account.
3. The AI apps you connect
You choose which apps can use your memory, and you can disconnect any of them at any time in Your agents.
Those apps (for example Claude, ChatGPT or Codex) belong to other companies, under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control what they do with the memories they read, what they decide to save, or whether their answers are correct. An assistant can misunderstand you and save or forget the wrong thing: please check important memories in your account.
An app's plan may limit what it can do with MemorySafe. For example, some ChatGPT plans can read memories but not save them.
Organizations. If you create an organization, you decide whom to invite and what goes in its shared memory; invite only people who expect it. What members save there can be read by every member. When someone leaves, what they contributed stays with the organization, and they can still erase it. An organization's only owner hands it over or deletes it before deleting their own account.
4. What not to do
Please do not use MemorySafe Hosted to:
- store patient records, client files or other regulated health information;
- store passwords, card numbers or government ID numbers;
- store other people's personal information without the right to do so;
- break the law, or store anything illegal;
- try to reach someone else's memories, overload the service, or get around its security;
- resell the service or give others access through your account.
If you find a security problem, please tell us at contact@memorysafe.ca rather than testing it on other people's data.
5. A free beta
The beta is free. We will tell you at least 30 days before any part of it becomes paid, and nothing will be charged without your clear agreement.
Because it is a beta:
- it may be slow, unavailable or have bugs, and we do not promise any level of uptime;
- features may change or be removed;
- please keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose (you can download your memories at any time).
We tell you about important changes by email or in your account.
6. Ending
You can leave at any time. Delete your account in Settings: your memories, settings and app connections are deleted, and you get a receipt. Download your memories first if you want to keep them.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks section 4 or puts other people or the service at risk. Unless the law or a risk to others stops us, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to download your memories.
If we end the beta or the service, we will give you at least 30 days' notice to download your memories.
7. Responsibility
We run MemorySafe Hosted carefully and keep your memories safe as described in our privacy policy. But AI assistants make mistakes, and a beta has bugs. Do not rely on MemorySafe alone for anything critical, such as medical, legal or financial decisions, safety rules or deadlines you cannot miss.
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, or for what connected apps do with your memories. Nothing in these terms limits rights that the law gives you and that cannot be waived, including under Québec's Consumer Protection Act. In particular, we remain responsible for our own fault.
8. Law, language, changes and contact
Law. These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and of Canada that apply there. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, the protections of your own law still apply.
Language. These terms are offered in French and in English. If you read them in English, you have chosen to.
Changes. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in your account at least 30 days before the change applies. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before then.
